Use Wordle or Tagxedo to create a word cloud of single words or short phrases that represent you.
Video Portfolio: Use Adobe Premiere Elements to construct a digital portfolio of your completed projects in tech. Check out this sample for the technique used.
Photoshop Elements: use magnetic lasso, gradient tool and layers to create a cartoonized version of yourself for inclusion in a comic strip.
Use the portrait taken of you during class last week to Blabberize yourself. Later, you can add it to a comic strip if the utility allows custom uploaded images. If not, use it in your final product slideshow/video.
Go to Madrona Tech's wallwisher page.
- In a new tab, go to your assigned Comic Strip creator website. (Links below)
- Familiarize yourself with the comic utility. Make a sample comic
- Open "Snipping Tool" on your local computer. Draw a selection box around the comic or the portion of the comic you've created.
- Add comments, highlighting, etc. (can do this with more accuracy in the next program too)
- Save to your digital locker space.
- Go to www.bounceapp.com. Upload your snipping. Evaluate the comic utility by identifying the name and writing a short critique. Include a link to your comic utility's website. Hit "save" copy URL in "share this feedback"
- Go to wallwisher page and paste URL. Add your name and a comment. I must approve it before it's public on the page

April Video Project
In a group of your own selection, create a humorous spoof or parady of a tv show, commercial, particular product, school policy/rules, etc. Begin by deciding on the type of content (see above).
Steps:
- Search for examples for original videos that illustrate the original version of the show your are spoofing. Submit your supporting video link(s) to the Media Tech Parady/Spoof submit form.
- Identifying elements: with your group determine what are the identifying elements of the original version that 'brand' the commercial, video, tv show, etc. (Ex: distinctive music, behavioral traits and clothing of subjects/actors, graphics & logos, setting, speech patterns, videography techniques, lighting, etc.) What will you incorporate into your own project and how will you do it? Identify them on the Media Tech Parady/Spoof submit form. To be considered for contest submission and posting on Schooltube, you must obey copyright- the parameters for students and use of copyright material are difficult to interpret.
- storyboard your video project from start to finish. Storyboard must include 10 drawings, complete with descriptions of scene, audio, subjects and shot composition.
Choose the storyboard template that is best suited for your project. Storyboard essentials- all about.
- Movie Poster: Create a movie poster advertising your parody. Original artwork only, please. Use Big Huge Labs or any other site you know of to create the poster. Model it after a particular movie poster, or just select a general style. Examine elements of typical movie posters before you begin.
